From 4 to 6 December 2018, Vienna, Austria

This research and innovation event will focus on the European Union’s priorities in the digital transformation of society and industry. It will present an opportunity for the people involved in this transformation to share their experience and vision of Europe in the digital age.

In an open and participatory event, organised by the European Commission and the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, citizens can join science community members, policymakers, and fellow ICT-enthusiasts to discuss the future in a digital Europe.

ICT 2018 will have four main components converging around the theme Imagine Digital – Connect Europe: Conference,Exhibition, Networking opportunities and Innovation and Startups forum.

STARTS EXHIBITION

What if you could communicate with plants, feel and understand them? Or if you could create empty cities without inhabitants, giving a large place to imagine what happens inside the houses?

These are some of the STARTS projects that you can discover and interact with in ICT 2018. The artists, with their unconventional exploration of technology and their critical view on the value of technology for society, can contribute decisively to human-centered innovation.

The STARTS exhibition is a great opportunity to acknowledge these visions and collaborations between artists and technology.

Visit STARTS at the main entrance of the venue! And you will discover these projects (and more):
