Description of the challenges faced by the Tech Project

Development of optical technologies for complex Human Machine Interaction in traffic situations. The aim of this project is to explore and develop two technological approaches, as well as their analysis and evaluation to integrate them in a car2human communication concept. Holographic displays and micro-optic projection systems will be created in order to enable a multichannel and dynamic presentation of information.

The artist gets access to demonstrators, microprojectors (based on LED or Laser technologies) as well as holographic technologies

What the project is looking to gain from the collaboration and what kind of artist would be suitable

The project looks for an artist which has a strong background in the field of visible design in combination with communication. Another key feature for the artist will be experience in human-centered design processes. Within the collaboration project the artist should identify completely new interaction forms between cars and humans. Furthermore, we’re looking for someone, who develops new ways to use the project related technologies, guides us to new application scenarios for our technologies or generates ideas for future technology developments.

Office and internet connection, meeting room which might be adapted as studio, 3-5 employees will work on technical solutions for this challenge
